Role Description The Architect (1–2 years experience) and Intern roles at SPAN Associates are full-time, in office positions based in Bengaluru. Team members support the design and development of architectural projects, including concept design, schematic layouts, detailed drawings, and presentation materials. Typical responsibilities include preparing CAD/BIM drawings, assisting in 3D visualizations, coordinating with senior architects, and contributing to material selection and interior detailing.
The role also involves supporting project documentation, attending site visits, and assisting with coordination between design teams, consultants, and contractors. Interns work under close guidance,
focusing on learning studio standards, design processes, and effective collaboration within project teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and detailing.
- Candidates should possess relevant Software Development and Integration skills for design workflows, including familiarity with design or BIM-related tools and efficient digital collaboration.
- Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities, such as basic scheduling, task coordination, and documentation support within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), along with presentation tools (Adobe Suite or equivalent), is beneficial.
- A qualified degree in Architecture (B.Arch or equivalent) for Architect roles; enrollment in an accredited architecture program for internship roles.
- Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site studio environment.
- Basic understanding of building materials, construction processes, and local regulations in India is an advantage.
