Role Description The Airfreight Operations role is a full time hybrid position based in Pune City, with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves coordinating and managing day-to-day airfreight activities, including booking shipments, preparing and verifying documentation, monitoring cargo movement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and airline requirements.

Responsibilities include liaising with customers, airlines, and internal teams to provide shipment updates, resolve operational issues, and deliver time-critical and standard airfreight solutions. The individual will support rate negotiation,



route planning, and capacity allocation, while maintaining accurate records in operational systems and contributing to process improvements. This role requires close collaboration with sales, warehouse, and customs clearance teams to ensure efficient end-to-end service for domestic and international air shipments.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret shipment data, optimize routes, and support decision-making in airfreight operations.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, airlines, and internal stakeholders, and for providing clear shipment updates.
- Sales-related skills to support freight rate proposals, contribute to customer retention, and assist in developing airfreight business opportunities.
- Operations management experience in logistics or airfreight, including shipment planning, documentation handling, and process adherence.
- Project management abilities to oversee time-critical shipments, manage multiple orders, and ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
- Knowledge of airfreight regulations, airline procedures, and customs documentation; prior experience in logistics or freight forwarding is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with MS Office and logistics/ERP systems; ability to work accurately under time constraints and manage priorities.
- Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred; willingness to work flexible hours when required for urgent shipments.
