Job Purpose

Usha Ascot is seeking a passionate, charismatic, and knowledgeable Activity & Experience Manager to transform our guest experience. Inspired by top-tier eco-resorts, you will design and lead immersive nature, cultural, and recreational activities that connect guests to the unique heritage of Matheran. As a crucial brand custodian, you will ensure our guests leave with unforgettable memories, drive positive online reviews, and elevate our hospitality standard.

Key Responsibilities

? Curate & Lead Immersive Experiences

- Nature & Wildlife Guiding: Design and lead daily nature walks, bird-watching sessions, and forest treks, showcasing Matheran’s unique Western Ghats ecosystem.
- Local Culture Integration: Build relationships with local artisans, historians, and horsemen to curate authentic Matheran experiences (e.g., local history storytelling, stargazing, local crafts).
- In-Resort Entertainment: Develop engaging, eco-friendly daily itineraries for families, couples, and solo travelers (e.g., indoor/outdoor games, workshops, evening bonfires).

?️ Brand Custodian & Guest Engagement

- Host with Distinction: Act as the face of the resort’s experience team, proactively interacting with guests from check-in to check-out.
- Feedback & Reputation Management:



Actively gather real-time guest feedback to improve services and systematically drive excellent reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor, Google, and OTA channels.
- Problem Solving: Turn any guest dissatisfaction into a positive experience through prompt, empathetic service recovery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Flora & Fauna Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the Western Ghats ecosystem, including local birds, trees, insects, and Matheran’s unique geography.
- Education/Background: A degree/diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a certified Naturalist/Trekking guide course is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional command over English and Hindi. Knowledge of Marathi is a major advantage for local coordination.
- Personality: High energy, outgoing, empathetic, and excellent public speaking skills. You must love interacting with people of all age groups.
- Fitness Level: Physically fit and comfortable walking/trekking through forest terrain daily.
