Role Description The Accounts Payable Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role oversees the end-to-end accounts payable function, including invoice validation, payment processing, vendor account reconciliation, and adherence to company policies and controls.

The Accounts Payable

Lead will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve discrepancies, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records within the financial systems. This role also supports month-end closing activities, assists in process improvements, and helps implement best practices for AP workflows and compliance.



The individual will guide junior team members, monitor key AP metrics, and collaborate with finance leadership to support operational and audit requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong accounts payable and general accounting skills, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and knowledge of accruals and expense coding.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with ERP or accounting software, Excel, and other financial tools used to manage high-volume AP transactions and reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in process improvement, documentation, and internal controls to help standardize workflows and support audit readiness.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, vendor management, and stakeholder collaboration skills to resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills to handle multiple deadlines and maintain data accuracy.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in a lead or senior AP role in a fast-paced or tech-enabled workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
- Familiarity with global or multi-entity operations, basic tax/GST concepts, and compliance requirements will be beneficial.
