Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Certified Public Accountant at Taxcart. The CPA will review and analyze financial data, prepare and validate tax calculations, and ensure accurate treatment of sales tax, VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes within the Taxcart platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting tax preparation for clients, and collaborating with internal teams to refine tax logic and reporting.

The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, advising on compliance and best practices, supporting audits,



and providing clear guidance to customers and colleagues on complex accounting and tax issues.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including practical experience with general ledger management and financial analysis.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements, including preparation, review, and reconciliation in accordance with relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credentials, with a solid understanding of professional ethics and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess experience in Tax Preparation, especially in sales tax, VAT, GST, and other indirect tax compliance and reporting.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications or coursework in taxation are beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting or ERP software; experience with tax engines or SaaS platforms is a plus.

- Ability to work independently in a remote workplace, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate complex tax and accounting concepts in clear, accessible language.
