Role Description The Academic Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves providing academic and career guidance to students, helping them understand educational pathways, course options, and skill requirements for their goals.
The Academic
Counsellor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assess student interests and strengths, and recommend suitable programs or training opportunities. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, collaborating with educational institutions and internal teams, organizing information sessions, and following up with students on their progress. The role also requires clear communication with students and families, addressing queries, and supporting learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills.
- Candidates should possess effective Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening and explicit verbal and written communication.
- Relevant experience in academic or career guidance, educational institutions, or HR/placement services is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to build trust with students, work collaboratively with teams, manage time effectively, and handle confidential information with professionalism.
