Test Automation Engineer- ADB/UIAutomator/UIAutomator2/ Appium

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python and Robot Framework.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining automation solutions for Android Automotive AOSP-based infotainment systems, covering both HIL and SIL test environments.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Android devices/emulators, Linux systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools.

Responsibiliies:

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
Automate Android Automotive / AOSP and infotainment test scenarios.
Perform Android automation using ADB, UIAutomator/UIAutomator2, and Appium.
Execute automated tests on HIL, SIL, physical devices, and emulator-based environments.
Debug automation and test failures using logs, ADB commands, and other debugging tools.
Integrate automated test suites into Git Hub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
Work with Git/Git Hub for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
Use Git Hub Copilot effectively for automation development, debugging, and improving productivity.
Analyse test results, identify root causes, and work with development/test teams to resolve issues.
Improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency

Experience with Python and Robot Framework.




Positive programming and debugging skills in Python.
Hands-on experience with ADB, UIAutomator/UIAutomator2, and Appium.
Good experience working with Linux-based systems and command-line tools.
Good understanding of Android applications and Android/AOSP systems.
Working knowledge of Git and Git Hub.
Experience with Git Hub Actions and CI/CD automation.
Ability to use Git Hub Copilot effectively for development and debugging.
Basic understanding of Unit Testing, API Testing, and Integration Testing.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, log analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work from the HAR office located in Bengaluru, India, as this position is

Good to have

Experience with Android Automotive / AOSP-based infotainment systems.
Experience with HIL and SIL testing.
Experience testing on automotive benches, physical devices, and emulators.
Knowledge of CAN communication and automotive interfaces/protocols.
Experience with REST API automation using Python.
Familiarity with Android/Linux environments and market-standard test tools and techniques is a plus
Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Power Point, MS Office tools, and professional communication platforms
Open to use AI enabled technologies to improve throughput
