Job Description of ECAD Librarian The ECAD Librarian is responsible for creating, maintaining, validating, and governing ECAD libraries for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) products used in power distribution, protection, control, and automation applications.
The role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and quality of schematic symbols, device macros, panel-layout representations, terminal definitions, wiring information, 2D/3D models, and engineering metadata across SeeXP Platforms.
Key Responsibilities (Library Creation, Development and Maintenance) Develop and maintain standardized ECAD libraries for MV and LV devices.
Manage centralized ECAD libraries in accordance with IEC and ECAD standards Update and revise existing library components when design or supplier changes occur.
Ensure library data integrity, version control, and traceability.
Ensure consistency between ECAD libraries, PLM systems, ERP systems, and product catalogs.
Experience in multinational organizations supporting global engineering teams.
Education and Experience Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience in ECAD Library Management, Electrical Design, Knowledge and work experience of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams.
