Job Description

Cloud Platform Services (CPS) is looking for a highly motivated Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Azure Foundation team. The role focuses on Azure platform engineering, cloud governance, automation, Dev Ops integration, and platform operations while enabling application teams to successfully adopt Azure services.

The successful candidate will help design, implement, operate, and continuously improve Azure Foundation services, governance controls, landing zones, automation frameworks, and platform engineering capabilities.

This role goes beyond traditional Azure administration and requires a strong engineering mindset, automation-first approach, and the ability to troubleshoot across platform, identity, networking, and cloud application layers.

Experience

- 6–8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Dev Ops.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience.

- Experience with Azure Landing Zones and Azure Governance.

- Experience administering Azure Dev Ops environments.

- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.

- Experience supporting enterprise Azure platforms.

Azure Foundation Engineering

- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Landing Zones.

- Manage Azure Management Groups, Policies, RBAC, and governance controls.

- Support subscription lifecycle management and onboarding processes.

- Implement Azure monitoring, diagnostic settings, and observability standards.

- Maintain Azure platform standards and engineering best practices.

Cloud Governance & Security

- Implement and manage Azure Policies and policy initiatives.

- Conduct policy remediation and compliance reviews.

- Manage Azure RBAC and access governance.

- Support security, governance, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Work closely with security and architecture teams.

Azure Dev Ops & Platform Services

- Administer Azure Dev Ops projects and repositories.

- Manage service connections, agent pools, and pipeline integrations.

- Support CI/CD enablement and Dev Ops governance.

- Implement identity and authentication mechanisms using Service Principals and Managed Identities.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

- Develop reusable Bicep templates and deployment modules.

- Implement Governance-as-Code and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.





- Automate Azure platform operations using Power Shell, REST APIs, and Azure services.

- Drive platform standardization and repeatable deployments.

Platform Operations & Support

- Support Azure Foundation operational activities.

- Troubleshoot platform, governance, networking, and identity-related issues.

- Handle onboarding requests, subscription requests, policy exemptions, and platform support activities.

- Collaborate closely with application teams during platform adoption.

Platform Engineering & Continuous Improvement

- Drive engineering excellence and automation initiatives.

- Contribute to platform modernization efforts.

- Create knowledge base articles, documentation, and onboarding material.

- Participate in technical mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
