Role & responsibilities

Plant Head will have overall responsibility for end-to-end manufacturing operations of the garment/innerwear plant, covering production, planning, quality, engineering & maintenance, industrial engineering, stores, safety, compliance and people productivity.

The role will be responsible for delivering production volumes, quality, cost, productivity, on-time delivery and operational excellence, while building a high-performance manufacturing culture aligned with MNC standards.

Plant Operations & Production

- Lead complete plant operations from cutting through sewing, finishing, packing and dispatch.
- Develop and execute annual/monthly/weekly production plans in line with business requirements.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, delivery schedules and capacity utilization.
- Optimize manpower, machines, materials and factory capacity.
- Monitor line loading, balancing, WIP and bottlenecks.
- Drive productivity improvement across sewing and finishing operations.
- Ensure smooth execution of new styles, products and capacity ramp-ups.

Innerwear / Garment Manufacturing

- Strong understanding of innerwear, lingerie, knitwear and garment manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of cutting, sewing, elastic application,



flatlock/overlock, bonding where applicable, finishing and packing.
- Drive SMV/SAM-based productivity improvement and line balancing.
- Improve line efficiency, DHU, throughput and first-pass yield.
- Reduce alteration, rework, rejection and material wastage.

Preferred candidate profile BE/BTECH with 15-24 years exp in Manufacturing / Garments / Inner wear / Bra /

- in apparel/garment manufacturing.
- Strong experience in innerwear / lingerie / knitwear manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in a Plant Head / Factory Head / GM Operations / Head Manufacturing role.
- Experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations and production workforces.
- Strong knowledge of garment production, IE, quality and lean manufacturing.
- Experience working with international brands/customers or an MNC environment preferred.
- Solid analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
