Position: Assistant Professor – English

nReporting To: Head of Department / Dean – Faculty of Humanities
n1. Job Purpose
nTo deliver high-quality teaching in English language, literature and related areas; engage students through cutting-edge teaching methodologies; contribute to curriculum development, research, academic administration, and the overall development of the University.
n2. Key Responsibilities
nTeaching & Learning
n
- n
- Plan and deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical/communication-based English sessions.n
- Teach subjects such as English Literature, Communication Skills, Business Communication, Academic Writing, Grammar, Language Skills, and related courses.n
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, presentations, assignments and assessments.n
- Use modern teaching methods, ICT tools, LMS and blended-learning techniques.n
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.n




- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes wherever required.n

nAssessment & Academic Activities

- n
- Prepare question papers, assignments, quizzes and examination materials.n
- Evaluate answer scripts, assignments, projects and presentations.n
- Maintain student attendance, academic records and other departmental documentation.n
- Participate in internal and external examination duties.n
- Support curriculum review and development.n

nResearch & Publications

- n
- Conduct research in English Language, Literature, Linguistics, Communication or related areas.n
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and present papers at conferences/seminars.n
- Participate in research projects, workshops, FDPs and academic conferences.n
- Contribute to the University's research and publication activities.n
