Key Responsibilities
Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret results from a variety of medical imaging technologies, including X-rays, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasounds, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
Diagnostic Reporting: Prepare and sign comprehensive diagnostic reports summarizing findings and detailing abnormalities for referring physicians.
Image-Guided Procedures: Perform minimally invasive therapeutic or diagnostic interventions, such as image-guided biopsies, fluid drainages, angioplasty, and tumor ablations.
Clinical Consultation: Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to advise on the most effective imaging tests for specific patient symptoms and discuss complex case diagnoses.
Staff Supervision: Oversee and direct radiologic technologists and sonographers to ensure they capture high-quality images and follow strict safety guidelines.
Radiation Safety Management:
Enforce protocol standards to ensure patient and staff protection against unnecessary radiation exposure.
