Our client is a well-established building materials distribution company with a strong presence in the market. The company is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Sales to lead its sales function, strengthen market penetration and drive sustainable revenue growth.
:
Develop and implement the overall sales strategy in line with the company’s business objectives.
Lead, manage and motivate the sales team to achieve revenue and sales targets.
Drive business development and identify current market opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, contractors, developers and other industry stakeholders.
Expand the company’s customer and distribution network.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.
Develop sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports.
Ensure achievement of sales targets, margins and customer retention.
Work closely with management, marketing,
logistics and finance teams to ensure effective execution of sales plans.
Establish performance standards and continuously improve the effectiveness of the sales team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience , preferably within building materials, construction products or related distribution industries .
Proven experience in leading and managing a sales team.
Strong business development, negotiation and commercial skills.
Valuable understanding of the building materials market and customer channels.
Solid leadership, communication and relationship-building abilities.
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
