Role Description This is a full time, remote role for a Home Infusion / IV Infusion Coding Specialist. The specialist will review clinical documentation related to home infusion and IV therapy, assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and validate procedure, diagnosis, and supply coding in accordance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Daily responsibilities include conducting detailed chart audits, ensuring coding accuracy for reimbursement, identifying and resolving coding discrepancies, and supporting clean claim submission. The role involves collaborating with clinical and billing teams to clarify documentation, provide feedback on coding-related issues, and recommend improvements to documentation practices. The specialist will also stay current with coding updates, payer rules, and compliance standards relevant to home infusion and IV services, supporting training and best practices as needed.





Qualifications
Coding expertise in home infusion and IV therapy, including strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding and relevant payer rules.
Experience with medical billing, claims review, and revenue cycle processes in a healthcare or infusion therapy setting.
Ability to interpret physician orders, nursing notes, infusion records, and other clinical documentation for accurate code assignment.
Familiarity with infusion-related coverage criteria, medical necessity documentation, and compliance standards (e.g., Medicare, commercial payers).
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), coding software, and common billing platforms used in home infusion and IV practices.
Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, billing, and operations teams in a remote workplace.
