Job Title: Lead Backend Engineer – Payments

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 9–12 years

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable, high-performance payment systems and microservices using Golang.
Build secure and resilient payment platforms for Pay-In, Pay-Out, Settlement, and Reconciliation.
Architect distributed systems with high availability and low latency.
Optimize APIs, databases, and system performance.
Collaborate with Product, Business, and Operations teams to deliver payment solutions.
Drive engineering best practices, observability, and production reliability.
Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership.

Technical Skills
Solid expertise in Golang, Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, and RDS.
Solid knowledge of MongoDB,



database design, indexing, and performance optimization.
Experience with Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus.

Domain Experience
Solid experience in Payments, Banking Integrations, Payment Gateways, Settlement, Reconciliation, and high-volume transaction systems.
Understanding of transaction lifecycle, idempotency, retries, and financial controls.

AI Experience
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Gemini for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing, and engineering productivity improvements.
