Role Description The OralCare Formulation R&D; Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing oral care formulations, such as toothpastes, mouthwashes, and related products, in line with regulatory, safety, and performance requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, documenting findings, and collaborating with cross-functional partners in quality, regulatory, and manufacturing. The specialist will evaluate raw materials, perform stability and compatibility studies, and troubleshoot formulation and process issues. The role also involves keeping current with scientific literature and industry trends, preparing technical reports and presentations, and supporting scale-up and commercialization activities.

Qualifications
PhD in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering,



or a closely related discipline with a focus on formulation development.
Proven experience in oral care or personal care product formulation, including surfactants, abrasives, humectants, flavors, and active ingredients.
Strong laboratory skills, including experimental design, analytical testing, data interpretation, and documentation in accordance with valuable laboratory practices.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory and safety requirements for oral care products and familiarity with quality systems and validation processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a quick-paced environment.
Experience with scale-up, pilot trials, and technology transfer to manufacturing is an advantage.
Industry or postdoctoral research experience in oral care, consumer health, or FMCG R&D; is preferred.
