This role is based at our Hetfy Accounting Outsourcing Solutions LLP office at GIFT City, Gandhinagar.
Your Role
As a Junoir Bookkeeper, you will be the financial backbone supporting UK-based clients. You will own end-to-end bookkeeping operations — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting at every step — while working closely with accountants and client teams to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complete bookkeeping for UK-based clients — from daily transactions to year-end finalization
Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable with precision and timeliness
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis
Post journal entries and maintain a clean, accurate general ledger
Prepare and file VAT returns in full compliance with HMRC's Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
Process payroll and ensure all statutory obligations are met
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate directly with accountants during audit and finalization stages
Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails as per HMRC standards
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on UK accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT regulations, MTD compliance, and payroll statutory requirements
Proficient in Xero and/or QuickBooks (UK version)
Good command over Microsoft Excel for reporting and reconciliation tasks
High attention to detail with the ability to manage work independently and meet deadlines
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Prior experience in an accounting outsourcing environment or with UK-based clients is a solid advantage.
