Junior Project Manager Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing software development projects from initiation through successful delivery.
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in coordination with clients, Business Development, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare project plans, timelines, task schedules, and resource allocations under the guidance of the Project Manager or Management.
Coordinate with Development, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion of deliverables.
Monitor project progress, track milestones, identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and escalate issues to Management with appropriate mitigation plans.
Ensure project deliverables are completed within the defined scope, schedule, quality standards, and business objectives.
Facilitate project meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, review meetings, and prepare meeting minutes with actionable follow-ups.
Maintain effective communication with clients by providing regular project updates, collecting feedback, and ensuring timely resolution of queries.
Track project budgets,



resource utilization, effort estimates, and project schedules, and assist in maintaining project cost efficiency.
Coordinate change requests, requirement modifications, and scope updates while ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder approval.
Maintain project documentation, including project plans, requirement documents, status reports, risk registers, meeting minutes, release notes, and project closure reports.
Ensure accurate updates in the Project Management System and monitor task completion across all project teams.
Work closely with Technical Leads to understand project progress, technical dependencies, and delivery commitments.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment planning, production releases, and post-implementation activities.
Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC processes, organizational policies, quality standards, and information security guidelines.
Continuously identify prospects to improve project execution, communication, team collaboration, and operational efficiency.
