Role & responsibilities
Leads strategic purchasing activities, focusing on long-term sourcing strategies and supplier relationships.
Develops and implements category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and risk management.
Manages supplier relationships and negotiates contracts to achieve busienss objectives
Negotiates contracts and agreements with key suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and current product introductions.
Monitors market trends and identifies prospects for cost savings and innovation.
Ensures compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepares and presents strategic purchasing performance reports to management.




Implements digital analytics and market intelligence tools to strengthen sourcing decisions.
Provides training and mentorship to junior purchasing staff.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing operations.
Represents category management in cross-functional meetings and projects.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualification: BE/BTech and MBA (Preferred)
Total Experience - 10+ yrs . 6 to 8 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience in a manufacturing workplace.
It will be mainly mechanical and electrical commodities related to machineries.
Industry: Automotive, Engineering, Industrial Equipment, FMCG Manufacturing, or similar
