Position : Manager/Senior Manager – Marketing & Business Development
Location : Gurgaon
Reports To : VP-Sales
*Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering or equivalent. MBA in Marketing / Business Management preferred.
*Experience: Minimum 10 years of total experience with 5 years in the automotive / auto ancillary industry. Experience with Passenger Vehicle OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is mandatory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
Identify, develop and convert current business prospects with OEM customers.
Lead customer RFQ activities from enquiry through commercial evaluation and business award.
Coordinate technical and commercial proposals with regional and cross-functional functions.
Support strategic business expansion initiatives and customer acquisition.
Customer Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing OEM customers.
Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned customer accounts.
Understand customer strategies, future vehicle programs and business requirements.
Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns through effective cross-functional coordination.
Commercial Management
Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, annual cost reductions and contractual matters.
Evaluate business profitability and support competitive, sustainable pricing strategies.
Program Management Support
Coordinate current product introduction (NPI) activities with relevant functions.
Support launch readiness and customer deliverables through cross-functional teams.
Track program milestones and ensure timely closure of actions.
Coordinate engineering changes and customer approvals.
Management Reporting
Prepare executive-level presentations for BOD management and customer reviews.
Present business performance, risks, opportunities and strategic initiatives.
Support annual budgeting and long-term business planning.
Provide management with relevant business intelligence and strategic recommendations.
