Calculate loads: Compute heating and cooling needs based on building size, climate, and occupancy.
Create blueprints: Use software like CAD to draw detailed layouts for pipes, ducts, and control panels.
Select equipment: Choose energy-productive units that match project requirements.
Core Responsibilities
Load Calculations: Compute heating and cooling needs using software like Autocad
System Layout: Design secure, effective ductwork and piping paths.
Equipment Selection: Choose correct units like chillers, air handlers, and diffusers.
Code Compliance: Ensure plans meet building, energy, and safety regulations.
Team Coordination: Work alongside architects and electrical engineers for proper integration.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
