Job Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Attend mechanical breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime of plant equipment.
Perform maintenance, repair and replacement of bearings, shafts, couplings, pumps, gearboxes, valves, conveyors and other mechanical components.
Conduct equipment inspection and identify abnormalities during routine rounds.
Execute dismantling, assembly, alignment and installation of mechanical equipment.
Support maintenance activities during plant shutdowns and major maintenance jobs.
Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance and maintenance activities.
Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems and standard maintenance practices.
Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.




Ensure proper housekeeping and safe handling of tools and equipment.

Required Experience & Skills
3 to 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
Candidates should have experience in a manufacturing / industrial plant environment.
Valuable hands-on knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience in handling pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, valves and other rotating/static equipment.
Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand equipment manuals.
Knowledge of basic maintenance tools, measuring instruments and alignment practices.
Valuable safety awareness and ability to work in shifts.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing plants, engineering plants, Tyre mfg. plants, steel, cement, glass, automotive or similar process industries.
Candidates who have worked in continuous/process manufacturing environments will be preferred.
