Applications are invited for the post of Post-Doctoral Fellow - Project Scientist I for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded IIRP project in the Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT) at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.
Project Title
Droplet-Microfluidic-based High-throughput 3-Dimensional Organoid Generator for Advanced Drug Screening Applications
Qualifications
Ph.D., (Biomedical science/engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology) or a closely related science is required.
Thesis-submitted candidates are also eligible to apply.
Solid publication record in peer-reviewed journals
Age limit: 35 years.
Describe if any
Candidates with prior research experience in cell culture (primary/cell lines), organoids, Microfluidics, Lab-on-a-chip, 3D bioprinting, in vitro models and molecular biology techniques.
Experience in Lab management and in vitro 3D models. (Preferable, but not mandatory).
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with industry partners.
Design and execute experiments related to microfluidic Lab-on-a-chip devices and 3D in vitro models
Perform mammalian cell culture and molecular biology experiments
Analyze and interpret experimental data
Publish research findings in high-impact journals
Collaborate with project team members and contribute to project reports
Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students
Location: Vellore Duration: 1 year.
