Role & responsibilities
Program Development Design, develop, and implement SAS programs (Enterprise Guide) for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting in accordance with business requirements.
Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and generate reports to provide insights into business performance and trends.
Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and quality control processes.
Reporting: Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for various departments, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions that align with organizational goals.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAS programs, processes, and data handling procedures
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve programming issues and data discrepancies efficiently.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies regarding data handling and privacy.

Preferred candidate profile




Bachelors degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
Proven experience as a SAS Programmer(Enterprise Guide), preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
Proficiency in SAS EG(Enterprise Guide), SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and report generation
Robust analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick-paced workplace
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of life insurance products and regulatory requirements.
Experience with additional programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
