Role & responsibilities
Manage day-to-day Scrap Yard operations.
Handle scrap receiving, unloading, segregation, grading and stacking.
Ensure proper identification and quality of scrap for SMS/EAF operations.
Monitor scrap inventory and material movement.
Coordinate with SMS/EAF for timely scrap availability and charging.
Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance within the Scrap Yard.
Lead and supervise the scrap yard team.
Preferred candidate profile
Candidates with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Scrap Yard operations in a steel plant.
Alloy Steel manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Robust practical knowledge of different scrap grades, quality identification and segregation.
Experience in coordinating with SMS/EAF operations.
Candidates with valuable team handling, communication and coordination skills preferred.
