Job Responsibilities
Identify the provider from medical documents and accurately key relevant information into the system.
Understand and apply coding requirements based on payer, client, and state-specific guidelines.
Ensure the number of charts processed matches those received from clients.




Perform denial follow-up and appeals processing when required.
Receive and review charge documents from various sites.
Validate that all charge information provided is complete and accurate.
Abstract CPT-4 and ICD-9-CM / ICD-10 codes from medical records.
Interpret medical documentation to assign correct diagnostic and procedural codes.
