Role & responsibilities
Create 3D models of greenhouse structures and mechanical assemblies in NX / SolidWorks / Creo, from concept to released design
Perform FEA and structural analysis (static, buckling, load and stress) under wind, snow and crop loads before manufacture
Run motion and assembly simulation for moving systems
Prepare complete fabrication drawings, GA drawings and installation drawings with GD&T; and tolerances
Generate accurate BOMs, cut lists and weights directly from the 3D model
Design steel structures and sheet metal parts for repeat manufacture using standard sections and bolted connections
Build and maintain a standard part library and parametric / configurable assemblies
Check drawings and models of other design engineers before release
Support the installation team and resolve site queries

Preferred candidate profile
B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical / Tool Design / Mechatronics




1 to 4 years of experience in mechanical design or structural design
Experience in fabrication, SPM, conveyors, racking, sheet metal, steel structures or PEB preferred
Strong in Siemens NX / SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor / CATIA (NX preferred)
Hands-on FEA in NX Nastran / SolidWorks Simulation / ANSYS
Valuable in AutoCAD for 2D drafting; Tekla / Advance Steel is an added advantage
Experience releasing fabrication drawings and BOMs to the shop floor
Valid passport and willingness to travel abroad for site work
Quick learner, detail-oriented, able to work to tolerances
