The Senior Dashboard Developer is responsible for translating business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and visually consistent Power BI dashboards. They will participate in briefing sessions, build prototypes and mock-ups, and refine them into production‑ready dashboards supported by robust data modelling and performance optimisation. Success requires technical depth in BI development, strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑moving workplace.
Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI dashboards
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and produce prototypes (mock-ups, spreadsheets, initial PBIX models).
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to integrate data from the data warehouse, OneLake, or Snowflake.
• Build robust data models, DAX measures, and efficient transformations using Power Query (M).
• Develop ETL scripts to ingest and structure data for reporting, including support for modern pipelines (e.g., Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Databricks, PySpark).




• Optimise Power BI dashboards for high performance, usability, and maintainability.
• Ensure dashboard UX follows the established style guide and aligns with the GIM reporting framework.
• Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, support SIT/UAT, and ensure defect resolution.
• Produce essential documentation: Design Specs, User Guides, Release Notes, and Process Docs.
• Contribute to improvements in development standards, Agile practices, and Jira processes.
• Identify data issues or process inefficiencies and contribute to resolution.
• Support the adoption of Q&A;, AI features, and advanced analytics in dashboards where applicable.

Essential Skills & Experience
• 5+ years hands‑on Power BI development.
• Advanced SQL (T‑SQL/ANSI SQL) and solid DAX expertise.
• Proven experience with Power Query (M), data modelling, and performance optimisation.
• Experience implementing Row Level Security (RLS).
