Education - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Marine Engineering qualification is an added advantage)
Role Purpose
The Marine Engineer – Electrical is responsible for supporting the engineering design, specification review and technical coordination of electrical systems for marine and offshore vessels. The role works closely with the Bids & Proposals, Project Execution and Engineering teams to ensure that electrical scope is technically sound, class-compliant, correctly interfaced with associated systems, and delivered on schedule.

• LV / MV switchboards and distribution systems
• Generators, alternators and prime mover interfaces
• Transformers and neutral earthing resistors (NER)
• Motors, propulsion drives and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
and shore power / charging systems
• UPS and emergency / essential power systems
• Power Management Systems (PMS) and Integrated Automation Systems (IAS) interfaces
• Cabling, earthing and hazardous area (HazLoc) installations
Key Responsibilities
• Study customer specifications, vessel general arrangement drawings and class rules; support preparation of electrical load lists, single line diagrams (SLDs) and system architecture.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, equipment lists, cable schedules and material take-offs for the electrical package.
• Support vendor enquiries, technical clarifications, and preparation of technical bid evaluations and comparison sheets.
• Assist in identifying and documenting assumptions, deviations, exclusions and clarifications for customer and internal submissions.
• Coordinate interfaces between electrical systems and PMS, IAS, propulsion, navigation and safety systems.
