About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AVP / DVP – Legal to lead and manage legal matters across the investment lifecycle. The role will work closely with the Investment, Finance, Compliance and senior management teams, as well as external legal counsel, investors, trustees, counterparties and other stakeholders.
The position requires a legal qualified with solid transactional, commercial and execution-oriented capabilities, particularly in debt, structured finance, real estate investments and alternative investments.
The successful candidate will be expected to independently manage legal workstreams from initial transaction evaluation and structuring through due diligence, documentation, execution, security perfection, portfolio management, restructuring, enforcement and recovery.
A high degree of ownership, attention to detail,



commercial judgement and accuracy in analysing transaction structures, legal documentation, security arrangements and regulatory requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Legal Execution & Closure
• Take end-to-end ownership of the legal execution of investment transactions from term sheet to financial close.
• Ensure the approved transaction structure is fully and accurately reflected in all legal documentation.
• Identify legal gaps and risks upfront and ensure their closure before disbursement/investment.
• Maintain transaction-level legal checklists and ensure that no material legal deliverable remains outstanding at closing.

Legal Due Diligence & Risk Mitigation
• Lead and coordinate legal due diligence covering corporate, title, regulatory, contractual, litigation, financing, insolvency and asset-level matters.
