Company Description
Umbrette is a technology-enabled commercial interior execution company, delivering retail stores, offices, experience centres and other commercial spaces across India.
We work with brands and organisations where quality, predictability, speed and execution discipline are critical. Our role is to take a design vision and translate it into a well-coordinated, buildable and executable setting.

Role Description
We are looking for an Interior Architect / Design Lead who can take ownership of projects from a design perspective and become the bridge between the client's/design team's vision and Umbrette's execution team.
This is not a conventional drafting or documentation role.
We are looking for someone who can think like a designer, lead like an architect and understand how a design gets built on site.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design understanding and interpretation of commercial interior projects.
• Review and understand design concepts, drawings, specifications and material intent.
• Drive design coordination between client, external designers,

consultants and Umbrette's execution team.
• Ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout execution.
• Identify design gaps, conflicts and constructability issues before they reach site.
• Provide design solutions that are aesthetically appropriate as well as practical and executable.
• Coordinate architectural, interior, MEP and other design requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material details, samples, mock-ups and site execution from a design perspective.
• Establish design standards and detailing practices across projects.
• Work closely with the execution, procurement and project management teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Participate in design discussions with clients and design consultants where required.
• Build a robust internal design knowledge base for recurring commercial projects.
• Help create standard details, specifications and design guidelines that improve
