We're on the lookout for a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team and help operate and maintain Council's Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities for the Manawatū district. If you are passionate about delivering top-quality services to our community, this role is for you!

This position requires the appointee to be on a standby roster.

About the role
Conduct regular maintenance and monitoring of all treatment facilities
Assist with projects and system upgrades.
Maintain high safety standards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act

Applicants will need:
A National Certificate/Diploma in Water or Wastewater Treatment or be prepared to work towards these qualifications.
Current full drivers licence.
Experience managing conventional treatment plants
Ability to work safely and independently




Able to deal with pressure situations and maintain professionalism in a public environment
Have a willingness to work the hours required to deliver on the requirements of the role

A salary range is $66k-$89k. The salary offered will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Please also note that you must have the legal right to live and work in Current Zealand to be considered for this role. A Ministry of Justice check, health check and pre-employment drug and alcohol test is also a requirement of this position.
