JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Designer will be responsible for preparing 3D models and drawings in CREO along with

BoM (bill of material) for assembled equipment involving welded/machined frames and

machined components of machines used in steel plants.

Position profile
- Study of reference drawings and get familiarized quickly with the equipment
- Preparation & self-checking of Basic and detail drawings for equipment as guided by the reporting engineer/ manager
- Preparation and self-checking of Onboard equipment piping
- Preparation of Bill of Material (BoM)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- ITI draftsman or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience required
- A thorough hand on experience on preparation of 3D models,



drawings in CREO and AutoCAD are must. Candidate must have been working on CREO continuously atleast for last 2 years or atleast 3 years if worked in past (not more than 1 year)
- Good knowledge of dimensioning.
- Familiarity with machining and assembly processes of heavy machinery/EPC domain.
- Valuable Knowledge of Fits/Tolerances and Geometric Tolerances.
- Knowledge of various bought out parts involved in moving and rotating machines.
- Able to communicate/report technical challenges effectively with the reporting engineer/manager.
