Salary: 171,240 (INR) Gross Pay per month, depending upon experience
About the CWGC
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission honours and cares for
the men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second
World Wars, ensuring they will never be forgotten. Funded by six Member
Governments, our work began with building, and now maintaining, cemeteries at
23,000 locations all over the world.
Today, over a century after we first began, our work
continues through our staff, supporters and volunteers who preserve our unique
cultural, horticultural and architectural heritage and ensure that the stories
of those who died are told.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Technical/Project
Manager (Works) to lead a wide-ranging portfolio of estates, infrastructure and
maintenance projects across the Indian Sub-continent. This is a key role
supporting the planning,
development and delivery of works that help maintain
our sites to the highest standards.
Working closely with operational teams and regional
managers, you will oversee projects from survey and planning through to
delivery. You will also play an important role in preventative maintenance
programmes and construction-related cases across the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake
structural and property condition surveys and accurately input findings
into the CWGC Condition Survey Software.
- Develop
a programme of fully costed and internally approved projects, ranging from
building refurbishment to heritage structure maintenance, for inclusion in
the area’s five-year plan.
- Manage
a small team consisting of a Technical Supervisor and manual operatives.
Identifying development opportunities, providing clear guidance and
supportive leadership.
- Work
in partnership with Regional Managers and Contractors to deliver projects
in line with the
