Job Description

1. Platform engineering and cloud governance will form the largest component of the role.
2. Cloud strategy, architecture governance and optimisation.
3. Dev Ops governance, including CI/CD and observability.
4. Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend strategic improvements.
5. Standardisation across multiple product/platform environments.
6. Infrastructure governance and technology cost optimisation.
7. IT operations / end-user computing oversight.
8. Network and cybersecurity oversight.
9. Business continuity and operational resilience.
10. Vendor / technology asset optimisation.
11. Act as a quality/governance gate across technology teams rather than owning every execution activity.

The Successful Applicant

- Strong communicator and articulate.
- Comfortable presenting to senior/executive stakeholders.
- Able to influence and ask for decisions.
- Strategic but technically credible.




- Curious and willing to learn outside their immediate domain.
- Comfortable working across a broad and somewhat fragmented technology charter.
- Pragmatic and willing to take ownership beyond their existing specialisation.
- Strong leadership orientation rather than purely technical execution.
