About the Role
JA Foods is expanding into the D2C space with the launch of a new premium consumer food brand, and we're looking for a Culinary Chef specialising in bakery, sweets, and confectionery to join us on a contract basis. Our product range is built around a wide variety of imported dry fruits as the core ingredient, with a strong commitment to using only natural ingredients — no preservatives. We're looking for someone who can craft distinctive recipes with unique shapes and sizes, bringing both creativity and technical precision to the table. This role is open to graduates as well as experienced professionals, provided they hold a qualification from one of the following esteemed institutes (or a similar recognised institute):
• Institute for European Pastry & Culinary Arts
• Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts




• IACHH — Institute of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and create sweet, savoury, and confectionery recipes using dry fruits (including a wide range of imported varieties) as the core base ingredient
• Formulate recipes using 100% natural ingredients, with no preservatives or artificial additives
• Design products with distinct shapes, sizes, and visual appeal, suited to a premium brand positioning
• Conduct recipe trials, testing, and refinements to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and quality
• Collaborate with the food technology and packaging teams to ensure product formulations align with shelf-life and packaging requirements
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and quality standards throughout recipe development and production
