KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Supervise welding activities at the workshop.
• Manage the performance and training of welders.
• Ensure compliance with approved WPS/PQR and project specifications.
• Coordinate welding and inspection activities.
• Monitor welding quality, productivity, and work progress.
• Guide welders in improving welding techniques and productivity.
REQUIRED SKILLS• Must be personally capable of welding CS & SS piping in 6G position using GTAW + SMAW techniques.
• Ability to test, assess, and recruit a group of welders.
• Ability to coach welders to improve their welding skills and productivity.
• Valuable knowledge of common welding defects, their causes, prevention, and rectification.
• Strong understanding of welding safety and quality requirements.
• Experience in heavy fabrication / Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
