About this role

We are looking for a Hostel Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that hostel environment is safe, comfortable, well maintained, and conduicve to student life and learning. The role will involve managing day-to-day hostel operations, ensuring the availability and quality of amenities, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance, addressing student concerns and grievances, managing vendors and service providers, and ensuring that students have a positive residential experience.

Specifically, this role will involve

Managing the overall day-to-day operations of the hostel and student residences

Ensuring that students have access to all essential amenities and services.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and overall living condition.

Ensuring that student grievances are resolved within defined timelines.

Escalating serious or sensitive issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders

Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students residing in the hostel.

Coordinating with security teams and ensure appropriate security protocols are followed.

Monitoring hostel access, visitor management, and entry/exit procedures.

Ensuring appropriate protocols are in place for emergencies and critical incidents.

Acting as a key point of contact during student emergencies or urgent situations.

Ideal candidate will have

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Hostel Management, student accomodation,hospitality residential operations,facility management or a related field

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong presentation and relationship-building capabilities.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple stakeholders.

Willingness to be available outside regular working hours when required for emergencies or high- pressure situations.

Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high- pressure situations.
