Position: SQL Server Database Analyst

- Senior-level SQL Server Database Analyst with 8+ years of experience in enterprise environments
- Primary focus on collaborating with application teams to enhance performance, analyze query issues, and provide tuning recommendations
- Skilled in T-SQL development, including writing and optimizing stored procedures, queries, and interpreting execution plans
- Works in tandem with managed service teams for patching, monitoring, and operational execution, while owning advanced troubleshooting and escalation
- Familiar with SQL Server administration fundamentals including backups, patching, restores.
- Business Intelligence and ETL technologies - SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PBI.
- Comfortable supporting both on-prem and Azure SQL environments (IaaS/PaaS),



with growing exposure to cloud-based DR models
- Proficient in Azure SQL, AWS, Cloud PaaS operations, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and diagnostics in a cloud-native architecture.
- Able to write basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Python and support database health monitoring
- Awareness of security and compliance practices, including role-based access, encryption, and audit trails
- Effective communicator, team-oriented, and comfortable partnering across development and infrastructure teams
- Aligned with the U.S. Eastern Time Zone and available during standard business hour
- SQL Server technologies for HA/BCP - Microsoft SQL Server, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR)/Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Always On Availability Groups (AG), and Database Availability Groups (DAG).
- Large dataset management - Design and implement table partitioning strategies to improve performance, maintainability, and data lifecycle management. Develop data archival, retention, purging, and partition-switching solutions for large-volume databases.
