Reporting to: HOD Microbiologist
Job Summary: Responsible for undertaking laboratory analysis and monitoring of microbial cultures, samples
analysis and identifying potential microbial threat.
Focus
Indicators
. Maintenance of equipment and inventory, personnel management assisted by HOD of the
Financial/
Business
section.
. Responsible to ensure timely delivery of reports according to the defined and promised
TAT
. Liaise with other department for training needs and technical support.
People
. Responsible for coordinating with cross functional departments to meet the deliverables
assigned/ necessary information.
. Responsible for attending phone calls and resolving their queries.
. Liaise with vendor and service engineers for equipment validation, calibration and
maintenance work.
Customer
. Need to coordinate with suppliers of microbiological media and other equipment
. Supervise and perform tests on various microbiological activities on a regular basis.
. Develop and documents various microbiology laboratory processes and prepare final
reports.
. Responsible for managing microbiological risk assessments.
. Responsible for allocating duty roasters to team and leave management.
. Track and report the microbiological performance using trend charts, suggest and follow up
corrective and preventive actions.
. Maintain the records of all report and all other standards as used in microbiology
Operations
laboratory.

Plan for inventory management of Microbiology lab and raise indents on monthly basis.
. Ensure a proper chain of custody for all materials and samples is maintained.
. Conduct investigations related to microbiological concerns.
. Responsible for sharing daily stats to senior management.
. Responsible for auditing the documentation of microbiological department.
. Support the validation of test methods, equipment and processes owned by Microbiology.
. Responsible for performing quality control tests and maintain quality control procedures in
the laboratory.
Any other portfolio that may be entrusted by the management from time to time.
Job Description
Educational Qualifications:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. Microbiology
Work Experience
. Having 2-4 year of experience in Hospital Industry
. Familiarity with basic microbiological techniques
. Experience in operating laboratory equipment and lab
computer systems.
. Knowledge of current developments in the field of
microbiology.
. Requires robust problem solving and analytical skills.
. Attention to detail.
Expected Deliverables
. Understanding and knowledge of current and
emerging bioanalytical tools and techniques
. Responsible for the timely completion of
technical
deliverables
by
working
independently under limited supervision.
. Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects
and manage priorities accordingly.
