Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for end-to-end manufacturing and operational activities across the organisation.
Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, production planning, supply chain, procurement, quality, maintenance and logistics.
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the Company's business growth, profitability and global expansion objectives.
Ensure optimum utilisation of manufacturing capacity, manpower, equipment and other resources.
Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, cost optimisation and overall operational performance.
Lead initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Ensure adherence to production schedules, delivery commitments and customer quality requirements.
Oversee manufacturing operations for specialised products and solutions serving the mining, mineral processing and material handling industries.
Establish robust systems for quality assurance, process standardisation and operational governance.
Drive reduction in manufacturing costs, wastage, rework and operational inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
Lead operational risk management, business continuity and crisis management initiatives.
Collaborate closely with R&D;, Engineering, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
Drive technology adoption, automation and digital transformation across operations.
Monitor key operational KPIs and present performance updates and improvement plans to the senior leadership and Board, as required.
Develop and mentor senior operational leaders and build a high-performance,



accountable and safety-focused culture.
Support expansion projects, capacity enhancement, new plant setup and integration of new businesses, where applicable.
Benchmark operational practices against global manufacturing standards and implement best-in-class systems.

Robust expertise in manufacturing and end-to-end plant operations.
Deep understanding of mining, mineral processing, material handling, heavy engineering, industrial equipment or related industries.
Expertise in Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM and Kaizen.
Experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain and Quality Management.
Strong understanding of EHS standards and industrial safety practices.
Experience in CAPEX planning, capacity expansion and operational budgeting.
Knowledge of automation, Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to drive profitability through operational efficiency.
