Description

The incumbent will join the Fees & Expense Management department, where they will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling various fees related to Settlement, Custody, Clearing and Exchange services in line with client service-level agreements.

The role involves onboarding new client, understanding and calculating various fees and handling tasks related to invoice processing and static activities for Settlement, Custody, Clearing.

A significant part of the role involves collaborating with external vendors such as CCPs, agent banks and custodians. The role also involves optimization of costs and processes, reducing invoicing errors, improving data quality, and automating manual tasks which calls for collaboration with number of internal teams such as Projects, Development, Quality Assurance and Business Analysts.

Job Responsibilities

- Onboarding of current client and data analysis.
- Perform Static activities pertaining to vendor setup and fee schedules.
- Calculate and Reconcile fees related to Settlement, Custody, Clearing products.
- Utilize the Smartstream Fees & Expense Management solution to match client data, identifying and resolving exceptions through a structured dispute management process.
- Investigate client and vendor inquiries across a wide range of areas, including invoices, settlement and custody calculations, fees, volumes, and global exchanges.
- Collaborate with external vendors and clients to resolve disputes and address any discrepancies.




- Ensure all SLAs are adhered to and escalate any critical issues in a timely manner.
- Engage in client and stakeholder management.
- Analyse existing systems and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements. Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and optimize systems and processes.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Engage in Functional User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Requirements

- 3-6 years of experience in financial services or capital markets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction across various levels of internal management and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of investment banking, derivatives, and related products, along with knowledge of the Trade Lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a critical-thinking mindset.
- A self-starter with excellent time management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Prior experience in reconciliation related to Brokerage, Clearing and Exchange domain is an advantage.

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge of SQL, Macros, Tableau
- Calm, methodical approach to problem solving

Qualifications

- Graduate/Post Graduate in a relevant field such as Banking or Financial Services
