POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 7+ years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar restaurant management position.
- Experience in a reputed international-standard restaurant or star hotel is preferred.
- Very fluent in International Standard English with excellent communication skills.
- Smart, well-presented and professionally groomed.
- Strong leadership, team-management and decision-making skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy restaurant operations.
- Good knowledge of restaurant SOPs, service standards and daily operational procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including waiters, captains and other service employees.
- Manage daily restaurant opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve guest complaints professionally.
- Monitor food and beverage service quality and ensure proper service procedures are followed.
- Coordinate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Train,



guide and motivate new and existing employees.
- Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline and professional conduct.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation standards are maintained.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with stores and purchasing departments.
- Check stock availability and report shortages or operational requirements to management.
- Monitor cash handling, billing and POS operations.
- Assist management in achieving restaurant sales targets and controlling operating costs.
- Ensure all restaurant SOPs, company policies and operational procedures are properly followed.
- Handle staff-related issues and maintain a positive and professional working setting.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager during busy operating periods, special events and high-volume services.
- Prepare daily operational reports and other reports as required by management.
- Take full operational charge of the restaurant when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
- Coordinate with the Kitchen, Bar, FOH and other departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Support management in maintaining high standards of service, guest satisfaction and profitability.
