Role & responsibilities

- Implement site safety procedures and monitor daily compliance across work fronts
- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for ongoing site activities
- Carry out regular safety inspections, audits, and housekeeping checks
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions; initiate corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for workers and staff
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, and confined space entry
- Ensure permit-to-work (PTW) systems are followed for critical activities
- Investigate incidents, near-misses,



and accidents; support root cause analysis and reporting
- Ensure proper use, availability, and maintenance of PPE at site
- Maintain safety records, registers, statistics, and documentation as per HSE management system
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and supervisors to reinforce safety culture
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and crisis response planning
- Support achievement of project safety targets, including zero-incident goals
