Sales Manager - Market research - 6+ Years - Gurgaon

A leading global business and professional services organization is looking for an experienced Market Research & Business Development professional to drive business growth through market intelligence, new client acquisition, account development and relationship management. The role combines hunting new accounts with farming and expanding existing clients, with a strong focus on B2B sales, consultative selling and revenue growth.

Location Delhi NCR – Gurugram

Its market research practice delivers customized market intelligence through qualitative and quantitative research, competitive intelligence, analytics and technology across multiple industries.

Responsibilities –

1. Identify and evaluate current markets, industries, target segments and potential client accounts through market research and market intelligence.
2. Drive new business development through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, networking, referrals and targeted account mapping.
3. Manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities and convert qualified leads into business engagements.
4. Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to client engagement, solution discussions, negotiation and closure.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify upselling,



cross-selling and account expansion opportunities.
6. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure consistent movement of opportunities across different stages.

Requirements –

1. 6–8+ years of experience in Market Research, Business Development, B2B Sales, Inside Sales, Consulting Services or research-driven organizations.
2. Proven experience in both new business hunting and farming/growing existing accounts.
3. Strong hands-on experience in inbound and outbound sales, lead generation, prospecting and account development.
4. Experience selling market research, business intelligence, consulting, research, data or other B2B services will be preferred.
5. Strong understanding of market mapping, account research, competitor intelligence and lead-generation strategies.
6. Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
