Role Purpose

Lead DDILs legal function across tenders, contracts, claims, disputes and regulatory compliance for its dredging, marine infrastructure and mining operations, protecting revenue and keeping the company eligible to bid.

Key Responsibilities

- Tenders: Review tender documents and contract terms for IWAI, port authorities, DCI and PSU bids; draft pre-bid queries and sign off bid documents.
- Contracts: Draft and negotiate subcontracts, charters, vessel sale/purchase, JV and vendor agreements.
- Claims: Manage notices, extensions of time, variations,



LD challenges and recovery of withheld payments.
- Disputes: Run arbitrations and High Court matters; defend show-cause, holiday-listing and debarment actions; manage external counsel.
- Regulatory: Oversee environmental, CRZ, maritime and mining-lease compliance.
- Corporate: Support board governance, due diligence and transactions; build a small legal team.

Qualifications

- LL.B.
- 12–15 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in-house in infrastructure, EPC, marine or ports.
- Solid record in government contracts, public procurement and domestic arbitration.
- Preferred: maritime law, construction law or arbitration qualification; CS an advantage.

Compensation

Competitive, commensurate with experience.
