Role: Senior Engineer Multimedia Platform

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong experience in Embedded Multimedia and Linux BSP engineering to work across the multimedia stack, including audio, video, display, graphics, camera, and sensors/DSP. The role involves multimedia sustenance, defect resolution, root-cause analysis, driver/HAL debugging, camera-to-compute pipeline integration, and release validation. The engineer will work closely with the Pod Lead and contribute to RCA and knowledge repositories.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and validate fixes for customer-reported and internal defects across assigned multimedia domains such as audio, video, display, graphics, camera ISP, and sensors/DSP.
- Support the camera-to-compute pipeline (Sensor ISP Compute) and video post-processing chain, including integration with downstream AI/vision consumers.
- Perform root-cause analysis using Linux kernel logs, ADSP/DSP core dumps, multimedia framework traces, JTAG, and crash-dump analysis.
- Maintain and debug multimedia HAL and driver code across firmware and driver updates.
- Work with V4L2, DRM, ALSA, hardware codec pipelines, and multimedia framework components.
- Work with Camera ISP, CamX/Chi-CDK, camera tuning tools, and related camera pipeline components.
- Work with H.264/H.265/AV1 video codecs and hardware codec pipelines.
- Support Adreno GPU driver stack,



OpenGL ES/Vulkan, and Hexagon DSP-based multimedia components.
- Develop/debug video post-processing functionality such as scaling, colour conversion, and filtering.
- Execute release validation against reference test suites and customer use cases.
- Contribute technical findings, RCA, and solutions to the pod knowledge base and RCA repository.

Must-Have Skills

- 5-10 years of experience in Embedded Multimedia / Linux BSP engineering.
- Solid C/C++ programming and Linux kernel driver debugging.
- Hands-on experience with V4L2, DRM, and ALSA.
- Experience with Camera ISP, CamX/Chi-CDK architecture, and camera tuning tools.
- Strong understanding of H.264/H.265/AV1 and hardware video codec pipelines.
- Experience with Adreno GPU, OpenGL ES/Vulkan.
- Knowledge of Hexagon DSP, JTAG, kernel crash dumps, and debugging.
- Experience in video post-processing such as scaling, colour conversion, and filtering.
- Experience with camera-to-compute pipeline integration and downstream AI/vision consumers.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Multi-camera synchronization and multi-stream concurrency.
- AI/ML inference pipeline integration with zero-copy buffer sharing to NPU.
- GStreamer pipeline development.
- HDR, tone mapping, and colour science.
- Experience with Chromatix or equivalent camera tuning tools.
- Experience integrating multimedia pipelines with AI/vision workloads.
