We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain plant machinery and equipment, minimize breakdowns, and ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of machines to identify potential failures.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per defined plans.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, spare parts and machine history.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments for maintenance requirements.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Ensure proper availability and management of critical spares.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of machinery/equipment.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and maintenance SOPs.
- Assist in improving machine reliability, reducing downtime and improving OEE.
- Coordinate with external vendors/contractors for maintenance and equipment-related activities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, motors and other industrial equipment.
- Understanding of Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics will be preferred.
- Knowledge of 5S, TPM, RCA and preventive maintenance practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel / maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/plant setting.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance/manufacturing plant.
- Freshers are not preferred for this position.
