A regional sales manager oversees and drives revenue growth, manages local sales teams, and implements corporate sales strategies within a specific geographic territory.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Create regional sales plans, set quotas, and align local targets with corporate goals.
- Team Leadership and Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate sales representatives and branch managers.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), review sales data, and forecast quarterly or annual revenues.
- Business Development: Build relationships with key accounts, partners, and distributors to expand market share.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze local market trends and track competitor activities to adjust sales approaches.
- Budget and Operations:
Manage regional sales budgets and ensure local operations comply with company policies.
Preferred candidate profile
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is often preferred.
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of proven Industrial Equipment / Heavy Machinery / Agriculture Product/ Backery Products & B2B or B2C sales experience, including time managing a distributed team.
- Skills: Robust negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Mobility: Flexibility for regular regional travel to visit clients, branch offices, and field teams.
