Job Description: Bartender/ Assistant Bartender/ Trainee / Bar Leader

Location: Mumbai and Pune

Department: Food & Beverage Bar Operations

Reports to: Bar Manager / Restaurant Manager

Role Overview

The Barman is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with brand standards. The role requires strong product knowledge, speed, consistency, guest engagement, and adherence to hygiene and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and beers as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Engage with guests, recommend beverages, and upsell premium products.
- Maintain bar mise-en-place, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of bar inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in requisitions and stock counts.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and FSSAI guidelines.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol in compliance with local laws.
- Coordinate with service staff and kitchen for smooth operations.




- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve basic complaints.
- Support opening/closing procedures of the bar.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Understanding of spirits, wines, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced workplace.
- Attention to detail and consistency in presentation.
- Team player with a positive attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 24 years of experience as a Barman/Bartender in a reputed bar, restaurant, or hotel.
- Formal training/certification in bartending preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
